If you haven't heard the news yet, Sweet Cheeks Waxing and Skincare turns 10 years old this month! I wanted to celebrate such a big milestone in a BIG way, thank our customers for an amazing decade in business, and find a way to give back to the community. Ladies Night Prom has been an idea on my heart for a couple years, and we were finally able to bring it to life!

I've always loved to dance and move my body to good music. As a mom of three young children and a busy business owner, I never get the chance to go out and dance anymore. There also isn't a lot of great options in Salmon that offer a safe, fun environment for women to be themselves, come as they are, not feel any judgement and just DANCE. 

April represents National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, so I thought what better way to give back to the community than by not only creating a safe environment for women to dance & party, but also help bring awareness to this issue and give back to one of my favorite non-profit organizations in Salmon, Idaho.

In early March 2022 I reached out to Dylan Brewer from Peony Lane Decorating in Salmon. I gave him my vision, budget and expectations and he took care of the rest by finding the perfect venue, decorations & special details & even hiring a caterer for the big event.

We hosted Alexis Keller as our DJ and professional dance leader to hype the ladies and bring the fun vibes and great music. Annette Lewis from Bellanet Photography captured prom photos with a dreamy backdrop and balloon arch as well as candid shots of the ladies dancing throughout the night. Shannon Weaver created the most delicious spread of yummy food and treats and even spun PINK cotton candy, a sweet tribute & totally on brand for Sweet Cheeks.

Upon arrival, beautifully dressed guests checked in with Sweet Cheeks' assistants Kayla and Tia and were given a pearl bracelet with a pink & teal 10 emblem, the number 10 representing 10 years of business, pink representing Sweet Cheeks and teal representing sexual assault awareness.

Flutes of fruit infused champagne or pink lemonade were passed around, the music got to bumping and the ladies got to dancing! Familiar faces were greeted and hugged, and newcomers were welcomed with open arms and big hugs. I'm so touched to say we even had out of town guests come just for Ladies Night Prom! Rigby Idaho, Pahsimeroi Valley and Bozeman Montana to name a few. 

Over 60 women attended Ladies Night Prom! Throughout the night, guests were able to vote for our very own Sweet Cheeks' Prom Court for Prom Queen, Best Dressed and Best Dancer. 

I'm so proud to say that Ladies Night Prom was able to raise over $1000 in donations for The Mahoney House. Sweet Cheeks Waxing and Skincare was able to match those donations which means $2000 will be going to benefit victims and survivors of sexual assault for residents of Lemhi and Custer County. 

Ladies Night Prom was so much fun and will definitely be a yearly event.
