The Intimate Skincare Guide

Your Brazilian doesn't end when you leave the treatment room. Here's exactly how to prep, care for your skin and prevent ingrown hairs between appointments.

Before your appointment

Prep for your Brazilian

Grow it out

A minimum of two weeks since your last shave, about ¼ inch, the size of a grain of rice.

Hydrate

Plenty of water and electrolytes for healthy, hydrated skin and hair.

Skip the caffeine

Coffee and energy drinks can make skin more sensitive, so skip them that morning.

Feeling nervous?

If it's safe for you, take ibuprofen about 20 minutes before your appointment.

Dress for comfort

Wear or bring loose, cotton clothing for afterward, or go without your undies.

Celebrate!

Treat yourself to a coffee or soda afterward. You can do hard things.

After your appointment

The first 24 to 48 hours

No hot tubs, pools or saunas for 24 to 48 hours

Loose, cotton clothing

Optional: skip heavy workouts and intimacy for 24 hours

Never pick. Let your skin heal.

Skip sweaty workout clothes, tight leggings and wet swimsuits, especially if you're prone to ingrowns or irritation.

Step 1 · Exfoliate

Your exfoliation schedule

Consistency is key. Exfoliating keeps dead skin cells from trapping regrowth under the surface.

Days 1 & 2: rest

Your wax or sugar already exfoliated your skin.

Keep ingrowns away

3 to 4 days a week

SMTWTFS

Hydrate inside and out

Soft, healthy hair is far less likely to get trapped. The more hydrated your skin and hair are as they grow back, the softer your regrowth and the healthier your skin.

Inside

Water and electrolytes, every single day.

Outside

A serum or oil on intimate skin, once or twice a day.

Between appointments

Rebook every 4 to 6 weeks

Regular appointments keep your hair on a steady growth cycle, so every visit is smoother and more comfortable. Not sure what your skin needs? Ask me at your next appointment. That's what I'm here for.
